Rachel Medeiros

I grew up in a house of teachers and computer geeks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After college I moved to San Jose, and since 2010, I've been teaching sixth through eighth grade language arts and seventh grade pre-Algebra. In 2017, I also became San Jose Christian School’s Director of Educational Technology.

In 2013, I began consulting in education technology in addition to teaching. This has given me the privilege of working with schools to effectively integrate technology into classrooms. In each training, I focus not only on the specifics of how to use a tool, but I also inspire and equip teachers to use those tools to amplify student voices as they learn.

In 2017, I graduated with a Masters of Science in Instructional Science & Technology from California State University, Monterey Bay. Since then, I have applied my background in education to developing corporate training programs.

I'm a Google Certified Innovator and Google Certified Trainer, the 2014 CUE Outstanding Emerging Teacher, a MERIT fellow, and a training facilitator. I hold single-subject California teaching credentials in English, math, and social sciences.

When I’m not working, I also enjoy running, eating, reading, and drinking specialty coffee. You can find me on Twitter @racheldiep.
