Teaching teachers and students to amplify voices that positively engage the world.
Education technology tools are simply that: tools. Although tools are useful and important, they're not the point; they're only used to create something. Similarly, technology in the classroom needs to be used purposefully and intentionally. When effectively integrated, this technology will amplify student voices as they help students create, collaborate, and think critically.
Since 2010, I've been teaching sixth through eighth grade language arts and seventh grade pre-Algebra. I've also had the joy of serving on our campus as a technology mentor.
In 2013, I began consulting in education technology in addition to teaching. This gives me the great privilege of working with other schools to effectively integrate technology into classrooms throughout the nation. In each training, I focus not only on the specifics of how to use a tool, but I also inspire and equip teachers to use those tools to amplify student voices as they learn.
I'm a Google Certified Innovator and Google Certified Trainer, the 2014 CUE Outstanding Emerging Teacher, and a continual conference presenter.
I'd be honored to work with you to develop and deliver education technology trainings on your campus.
